CodeGen was primarily developed to generate Synergy Language source
code, but can also be used to generate code for a variety of other
programming languages such as C#, Visual Basic and Java.
Actually, using the term source code here may be a little misleading.
In fact CodeGen can be used to create many types of files, some of which
may not strictly be considered source code. For example, CodeGen can be
used to create XML files, HTML files, ASP.NET Web Forms and XAML files
for WPF or Silverlight applications. Basically, if you need to create
a text-based file whose content relates to information stored in a
Synergy repository, CodeGen can probably do it.
CodeGen is a flexible and powerful tool that was created by the Synergex
Professional Services Group (PSG) and is now published as an open source
project on GitHub.
